Ater, new exhibition at the gallery

Projekteria [Art Gallery] in close collaboration with the Galeria das Salgadeiras from Lisbon presents the exhibition “ATER”, a group show with works by the artists Augusto Brázio, Cláudio Garrudo, Alberto Franco Díaz and Inês d’Orey curated by Ana Matos and Meritxell Alvarez.

Following the presentation of this curatorial project in Lisbon, at the Galeria das Salgadeiras, and in Madrid, at the JUST MAD contemporary art gallery, “ATER” continues its international tour. The exhibition is supported by the Portuguese Government’s “Guarantee Culture” program.

ATER means matte black in Latin. The exposition of the exhibition is based on a premise of rebellion, a declaration of intentions, a bearing on oneself, and consequently, the artist’s assumption as an ethnographer, avant-garde in contemporary thought in form and content in allusion to the “return of the real” by art historian and critic Hal Foster.
