In my photography I am interested in the atmosphere of the scenery; I do not photograph objective reality but experience reality, trying to capture emotion. The scenes are normally spaces with certain loneliness, peripheral areas, suburbs, vacant buildings, wastelands. The action of man can be seen although people never appear on it: objects, little actions that I realize or subtle signs that lead to a dialogue with the place.
The themes are result of my personal reflection of my environment and experiences; it is a kind of work about my memories. The results are pictures with a sort of poetry of mystery, oneiric, sinister and cryptic. Poetry is reinforced by delicate cotton paper, to obtain a pictorial effect similar to the German romanticism.
